I'm an award-winning journalist and author with nearly 20 years experience in the U.S. and overseas.  I've been a newspaper and magazine staff writer, edited a British financial journal and written for a variety of publications and websites including The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Forbes, Time, Cosmopolitan, Self and CBS Moneywatch.com.  I've also co-authored two non-fiction books. 

While I specialize in business, careers and personal finance, I've penned articles on such varied topics as celebrity divorce, Olympic hopefuls and one probation officer's struggle to save her kids from the streets. In addition, I've taught courses in reporting and interviewing, and worked with corporate and non-profit clients on several media projects.
